Christina and Chris, a match made in heaven. Their story starts at Ulster county community college. Through the library window Chris used to watch Chrissy walk from class to class, he would think “one day i’ll talk to that girl”. We are all grateful that he finally gathered up his courage and that some friends intervened because here we are. They are Mr & Mrs. A sweet couple that on a clear June day enjoyed the sweetest wedding.
Chrissy and Chris got married at the stellar Poughkeepsie Grand View that truly lives up to its name. Their wedding day started and ended in perfection. A teeny rain storm tweaked the ceremony plans but like I told Chrissy, if that is the worst thing that happens than you are in for an amazing journey. These two are an amazingly sweet couple, Chris just adores his new wife. For their engagement session we headed back to where it all began, we strolled passed the window where Chris would sit and watch his maybe one day wife. I listened to Chrissy talk about the first time she realized she liked Chris, it was a sweet day. They have what it takes, and I know they are in this for the long haul.
This wedding had another layer of “special” for me. I attended Church with this wonderful crew for many years before my husband planted a Church a few towns over. My Father in law (who is one of my favorite people on the planet) officiated their ceremony. My husband was actually at the wedding (my all time favorite person on the planet), and almost everyone who was at this wedding holds a dear place in my heart. This is the beauty of community, and Christine and Chris have an army of people who love well behind them as they set out on this marriage. So, you young sweet lovebirds, thank you for letting me into your wedding day. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do!
So remember I told you I have known this family for a while? Christinas dad has been getting mentally prepared to see his daughter on her wedding day for months. He went as far as to listen to the song they would dance to a lot beforehand so he could handle it when the day came. I knew that their daddy daughter first look was going to be a favorite, I was right.
Its ceremony time!
