I wont drop a corny line about how I was born with a camera in my hand and live and breathe weddings. That would not be true and with me what you see is what you get, and thats a really good thing.
When I first journeyed into weddings 9 years ago I was astounded at the "sameness" that saturates this industry. I LOVED weddings but I did not fit the mold of photographers I was seeing, they were all so serious and so...well, professional. Don't get me wrong, I AM a professional but I laugh a lot and I am hear to make sure we ALL have a good time as we go through the best day of your lives, why not enjoy it?
Im a Pastors wife and Extrovert so I thrive on real life connections, My 2 children have showed me how invaluable a photograph is and my 15 year marriage has watered me with the safety of " till-the-day-we-die" love.
THAT is why I photograph weddings. When you have LIVED how incredible marriage is ( ups, downs and sideways) you take such joy in watching people enter into arguable one of the biggest blessings in life. Someone to do it with.
When I'm not photographing a wedding you will find me probably at a baseball game, cooking up a storm, gardening, hosting home groups or reading whatever book I can get my hands on.
We are BIG outdoor people, fishing , hiking, hunting just get me outside. And if im needing inspiration you will find me at The MET strolling through paintings on paintings.
