Let ‘s go back a few years. The sweetest couple is having a stellar wedding at Oz Farms. An absolute doll catches it, all decked out in a green polka dot dress. I remember thinking she is adorable. We laughed and she told me how funny it was because her boyfriend caught the garter, and a few years later here they are. Its possible that this bouquet and garter tradition might actually have something to it, just, just maybe.
Justine and Paul are the outdoorsy type. They love their dogs, they work hard, and they truly find solace in each other and in the woods. They took me to their favorite hiking trail for their engagement session and I felt truly honored. I cannot imagine how many conversations they have had along this trail, and hearing how Paul proposed with Justines grandmothers ring made my heart smile.
Justine and Paul planned a whimsical wooded wedding, set in well worn paths, cleared out by themselves in their backyard. They both love retreating to the woods, I totally relate I also love the language of the forest. The morning on their wedding was calm, I arrive and Justine and her girls were ready to go, giggling the whole time. Justines mother is insanely talented, she gifted her a beautiful handmade robe, a true heirloom. Bridesmaids fluttered about, Justine took deep breathes and we headed to the ceremony. Justine and her Uncle Neil drove down in her vintage Ford pickup, and at the end of the wooded aisle stood a teary eyed Paul, Justine was a sight to see.
Their whimsical wooded wedding was utter perfection. I promise you it felt like all the birds came together to watch these two get married. The evening carried on with magical portraits tucked in among ferns, axe throwing and food trucks were the cherry on top. These two have all of the ingredients for a long marriage, the type of marriage is an example to even great-grandchildren. I cant wait to see where life takes you two, congratulations you woodland fairies you!
Now its time for the first look with Justines incredibly sweet Uncle Neil. He was trying to play it so cool until she walked out.
Thank you to Justine & Paul for choosing me to be at their wedding day! It was an incredible day to remember! Also thank you to the following vendors for making this wedding so perfect!
