“The most precious possession that ever comes to a man in this world is a woman’s heart.” – Josiah G. Holland
This was my first time enjoying a sunrise in Prospect park in Brooklyn, NY. I often find myself shooting engagement sessions at sunrise in NYC for a few reasons, you beat the crowds AND you can actually find parking. Madison and Pete joined me at a bright and early 5:30 am (what troopers) to show me around Prospect park. They walk they sweet bernadoodle through this very park every Sunday. I can only imagine how many times they have walked these very paths, dreaming and planning their wedding day. If it is anything like them, it will be a classy and happy affair.
There is something SO calming about Madison. She’s a natural beauty with a quiet confidence. Pete seems like he is the life of the party, when he goofs off Madison breaks out into a smile that is contagious. I love couples like this, maybe its because my husband and I ALSO have a “ying and yang” nature but whatever the reason its comforting. Madison and Pete seem intentional, thats one of the best words I can think of to describe them. They are well planned yet spontaneous, and they seem to both wear their hearts on their sleeve and truly care for others. In May of 2022 they will be married at the BEAUTIFUL Blooming Hill Farm. From what I know of the 2 of them already, this venue is like cinderella’s shoe, the perfect fit.
Now, Prospect Park in Brooklyn is my new favorite place for an engagement session! I LOVE the white and teal architecture around the boathouse, the tree covered pathways, and the large open field. Of course, it is always a bonus when you have the sweetest, fluffiest puppy with you! When looking for engagement session locations these are all important factors, as a bright and bold photographer I need ALL the access to delicious clean light, and Prospect Park sure delivers. Madison and Pete, thank you for trusting me with some of your most precious memories…they are in good hands.
