Meet my last “big” wedding couple of 2020, these 2 are real life hero’s. Morgan is a nurse and Anthony is a firefighter, many people truly could not life without them and they truly could not live without each other. A true opposites attract love story, and like Morgans favorite fairy tale Cinderella their love story is one that gives you all of the feels. They have been planning their late fall wedding at the Grandview in New York for MONTHS, like so many others those plans began to shift.
In the Bible there is a story about a man who built his house on a rock and than a man who built his house on the sand. The parable goes on to beautifully describe how houses built on solid ground withstand waves, storms, and all else. Morgan and Anthony, you’ve got a house built on solid rock, it was amazing to watch you two handle your first waves. They decided to keep their date and make the necessary adjustments, I truly dont think this wedding day could have been more perfect.
I drove up to Morgans house and the sun wrapped everything in love. Bridesmaids and hair and makeup all in a flurry, plus a sweet puppy came out to greet me. Morgans entirely crew is freakishly gorgeous. They are all graceful and sweet and the smiles abounded. After a smooth morning, we headed to the Church. As we pulled up Morgan was *kind of* freaking out. Nervous tears gathered in her eyes, but when Anthony walked by girlfriend was ready to go get her man.
Anthony is a man of few words, when Morgan walked down the aisle Mr. Stoic broke character and broke into an even bigger smile. After a quick wave hello he took his brides hand, I cried. I cried when Morgans momma gave her the sweetest look as she gave her daughter away, I cried when they had their first kiss as husband and wife, I cried during their first dance. Thats what weddings do to me, anytime a stoic man melts at the sight of his GORGEOUS bride who doesnt become emotional? I am so glad that this was the last big wedding I am doing this year because it ended a crazy year on a high note. It proved that while times change and plans may shift, people in love will always make the best of it. That means I will always have a job capturing people in love.
Morgan had TWO pairs of shoes, both of them were STUNNING!
Morgan sewed a little patch in her fathers tie, and gave it to him the morning of the wedding.
NOW lets talk about these portraits, I love them. We were RACING the sunset, as a matter of fact it was near dark when we started their portraits. But the light that dusk gave us, was as beautiful as the sunset glow. Enjoy!
The first of many twists, Morgan surprised her fire fighters husband with the Orange County Bagpipers! Anthony was blown away!
Now for the SECOND twist.
Shout to some of the most AMAZING vendors! Your wedding vendors should never be picked based on price alone, there has got to be a vibe. The people who are working with you on your wedding have GOT to be invested and here is a shoutout to Morgan and Anthonys wedding team!
