The Grandview in Poughkeepsie is the perfect backdrop drop for a summer wedding. The view of the river, the food, and the great staff should put this venue on everyones short list. Louisa and Adam are HANDS down one of my favorite couples, the virus has enabled me to finally blog their wedding RIGHT before they deliver their first child. Louisa is one of those people with a contagious laugh and her personality is magnetic. If you dont know her you want to, just ask Adam. Adam is her perfect match, they are like PB&J, garlic knots & pizza, blue cheese and wings (clearly im hungry). The point is they go together and there is not ONE person who knows them, and sees the way Adam looks at her that would disagree. Couples like this, whose love hangs in the air in a tangible way are my favorite.
My couples will tell you that I truly value building a relationship with them. Its not a marketing tactic, its the best way that I can ensure a wedding experience like no other. Louisa and Adam were no different, we got to stroll through Central Park for their engagement session, and we met up a at a cute little cafe with their family for the timeline meeting. Wedding day felt like I had known not only Louisa and Adam for a long time, but their families too. All of these factors combined made their summer wedding at the Grandview utter perfection.
They could have eloped on their own and it would have been nothing less than magic, but as Louisa glided to Adam for the first look I think angels sang. The hardest part of blogging is putting to words what a wedding day feels like. Ask my couples at the end of the night how they feel, you’ll see a smile, a deliriously content smile. I’m happy that my job is not a wedding writer but photographer, there are something that only a photograph can show. Enjoy this visual story of Louisa and Adams wedding day, I am happy to re-live it with you!
