Jeff & Rachel

My first experience at Saint Clements Castle in Portland CT has lived up to the hype. The castle sits high on a hill on 90 acres of immaculate grounds and truly exudes princess wedding. It it only fitting that the precious Rachel in her princess ball gown married her prince Jeff at Saint Clements, sunshine surrounded them and their guests while the clouds put on a show. You would not imagine the wedding of 2 dentists to be a party but you would be wrong, dont believe me? Keep on scrolling!
How we crossed paths…
Jeff and Rachel came to me through Jeffs cousin, the owner and talented musician of Ariana Strings. I have had the pleasure of working with her and cannot wait to hear those notes dance over to me again soon but thats for another post of favorite musicians! Jeff and Rachel are incredibly bright in every sense of the word, they are all smiles ( and not just because they are dentists) with a warmth about them that comes from an obvious ” best friend” kind of love. The vision of a classy, breezy wedding with big sky views and even bigger laughs was executed flawlessly thanks so careful planning from these two. If I am going to drive over 2 hours to capture a wedding it better be for a special couple and Jeff and Rachel were it.
A unique challenge was also our biggest gift, the sun. Shooting in the wide open sun can be tricky, but thanks to years of experience in all types of lighting we created images I am IN LOVE. Pastel tones and clear blue skies with lush green vines, its what you envision for a July wedding. Jeff and Rachel, you are a special couple. I pray that your marriage is every bit as exciting as you both tearing it up on the dance floor!

First looks with Dad are a “newish” tradition, but one that I feel will not tire out any time soon. Rachels Dad was so overwhelmed and this moment is a very special one.

Ceremonies at Saint Clements Castle are a breath taking affair. The large lawn gives bride and Dad some time to have one last chat before passing her off, thats a gift to any bride.
