The Barn at Villa Venezia is a stunning new rustic barn with an industrial twist located in Middletown, NY right in the Hudson Valley, NY. The Barn at Villa Venezia has not disappointed as a wedding venue and continues to wow brides and guests alike. A two story lobby guides you right into one of several different locations to have the party of a lifetime! Klaudia and Dan picked the largest room boasting of floor to ceiling windows and industrial rafters draped with greenery for their wedding reception! A Barn at Villa Venezia Wedding is guaranteed to be one for the books.
Every photographer has an ideal couple in their head. Couples whose vision, style and personality fit our natural leanings so well that we just HAVE to photograph their wedding. Klaudia and Dan are my ideal couple. Dan is a fisherman who loves the great outdoors and will probably be found on a lake somewhere. Klaudia is stunning and while she looks like she might not enjoy the outdoors, she is down for it all. Dan really lucked out. When we scheduled our first call it was clear that we were a match, we talked for over an hour! Klaudia and Dan are both Polish (explains how beautiful she is) and it was such a joy to hear their vision for celebrating themselves and their culture. These two communicate so well and respect each other in a very visible way. They are endearing in the way they talk to one another. It was refreshing to see a couple that is mutually looking to place each others needs above their own. Unfortunately that is becoming more and more rare, Klaudia and Dan should teach a class.
Planning a wedding in February can be a bit of a gamble, but the odds were clearly in our favor. February 3rd was crisp and clear, maybe not warm but the sun was shining all the same. Klaudia’s sweet bridesmaids had a whole set up for one of my FAVORITE bridal prep images I have ever taken, the newspaper shot. Klaudia had ” The Newlywed Times” papers made introducing her bridal party and most importantly telling her and Dans love story, I am obsessed. They chose to forgo a first look before the ceremony and what a sweet moment it was seeing Dan take deep breaths as his biggest catch came down to him. We had the Barn at Villa Venezia ALL to ourselves which was such a treat! It was cold but Klaudia stuck it out and the pay off was HUGE. Their bridal portraits are some of the most dreamy and romantic ones I have ever had the pleasure of taking and I am so thrilled I was able to make it happen for them!
After their wedding I decided I wanted to be Polish, I guess it does’nt work that way. Seeing everyone swaying, singing, dancing and laughing with them reminded me how important a good support system is. Klaudia’s vision of a warm vibe to a winter wedding came to fruition perfectly! I can say that I have so thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience with Klaudia and Dan. From the engagement session at his parents property, getting out onto his boat and capturing them in their element all the way to watching them have their first dance as husband and wife it was worth my time. Klaudia and Dan, you are the real deal and I cannot wait to watch what life brings you!
Before we head to the Barn at Villa Venezia for the party we had the ceremony to do! BUT before we say the I-do’s we had to see Dad, the first love of her life. This was one of the most precious first looks with Dad I have ever had the pleasure of photographing.
I end every blog post crediting the people who work so hard behind the scenes to make these once in a lifetime dreams come true! If you are planning a wedding or know someone who is please consider hiring some of these talented vendors!
