Sean and Lauren are the definition of classic. Their whole wedding at The Inn at Longshore was an understated, yet high end affair that gave hard Martha Stewart Weddings vibes. The Inn at Longshore is a New England destination wedding venue right in Westport, CT. This venue was made to fit Lauren and Seans wedding vision. The clean color palette that The Inn at Longshore naturally has played perfectly off of Laurens pastel-floral dream. What a magazine worthy wedding.
Sean and Lauren have worked their tail ends off to create a dream day, they succeeded. From their invitation suite to the stellar floral design by Stems floral every detail was curated to create a high end wedding. The Inn at Longshore in and of itself is magazine worthy but Lauren and Sean really took it up a notch. They are head over heels for one another. Their vows spoke about a”love at first sight” experience and I can tell you from my experience with them that they are still on cloud 9. This wedding was a joy for many reasons. Firstly Lauren and Sean could be models. They are so comfortable with each other that photographing them was effortless, it felt like I was cheating. Secondly the people they choose to surround themselves with are the real deal, genuine-bonafide-love the daylights out of them real deal.
When you witness incredible weddings week after week like I do it takes something unique to really “stick”. Truthfully there is always something I can think back to that sticks out, but with Lauren and Sean its different. There was no “one moment”. Memorable moments were in every glance, every hand held tightly, right up to the first kiss on the shore and the first dance on the floor the whole day was a picture. Laure and Sean I am so grateful for all the work that you put into your wedding day, and I am honored that you chose me to photograph it. Life is already beautiful for you both, and I know that this is just the sunrise. Congratulations!
Sean and Lauren had their first look at high noon. As a wedding photographer shooting in harsh light can be tricky, I am so thankful for The Inn at Longshores stunning scenery and for years of experience. These portraits are some of my favorites from my 2023 wedding season!
I kid you not, these next images are my favorite of the WHOLE YEAR. I tell all of my couples that sunset portraits will take about 10 minutes and will be well worth it, these portraits prove that. For photographers there are so many little choices that made these images spectacular, getting the sun right behind their heads was one of them. Also there was a white tent behind me that was reflecting light back onto their faces, hence the PERFECT balance you see here!
This wedding day was filled with many happy tears. Laurens dad got up and paid tribute to her dear grandmother who would have been SO proud to see how accomplished Lauren has been! What a touching moment to see all of the grandchildren tearing up at the thought of their precious matriarch.
The search for vendors for your wedding day is overwhelming at best, and stressful at its worst. The following vendors all worked on Lauren and Seans wedding at The Inn at Longshore and they would be an amazing addition to your wedding day! Be sure to give them a follow!
