Indeed, Catskill weddings are like entering into a magical land tucked away in New York. During our drive to Mountain View Manor in Glen Spey, NY we passed the gorgeous Catskill mountains traced by the Delaware river. As we traveled up windy roads mountain view manor came into sight. Its a beautiful estate graced with mature Catskill trees and a truly spectacular view of the Catskill mountains themselves. What a place to have a dream Catskill wedding, and Brittany and Josh did just that.
Brittany and Josh are young and in love. The type of young love that says aint’ no mountain high enough aint’ no valley low enough, what a joy. In their young lives they have already experienced tough things, their faith in the Lord has been an anchor for their souls, I can relate to that deep unexplainable peace.The rain did not phase them, truthfully I have not YET had a sunny wedding day for the 2023 season. Brittany and Josh fully embraced the cold and the rain and we had the best time running from the rain.
WEDDING DAY
Basically rainy wedding days have my heart. Everyone seems to huddle together extra close, grooms get the opportunity right off the bat to protect their bride from a storm. Also colors POP against a grey sky. When I got to mountain view manor in the morning the place was buzzing with florals being passed, bags of dresses being passed around and hairspray flying through the air. Brittany was giddy as she was sitting in her chair waiting to get into her favorite gown, her bridal portraits belong in a magazine. Their first look was MAGIC. Right as Brittany walked up to Josh the sun made a one time appearance just for them. Thank you Lord. Their whole wedding was filled with love from above and love from their friends and family. What an honor to be a part of this Catskill Wedding. Congratulations you two, what a beautiful marriage you will have!
FIRST LOOK
Another sweet touch to this day was a private vow reading right after their first look. I recommend this if you are wanting to keep the ceremony short and sweet but still have some things to say!
