Amanda & John
Amanda and John threw the most classically chic Brooklyn wedding that I have ever attended…or even seen. First their wedding day began at the Intercontinental in a suite bigger than my entire house, then they exchanged ” I do’s in a Church where celebrities get married and danced the night away on the water with the Brooklyn bridge as a backdrop. Dream come true. As far as weddings go this was one for the books, I need to convince Amanda to go into wedding planning.
John and Amanda are the type of people I want to be when I grow up. They love fiercely, they aim to enjoy every single moment and they truly think bigger than themselves. I knew this during our first phone call, but seeing who they choose to surround themselves with was the proverbial proof in the pudding. As aesthetically pleasing as their wedding was it was the sentiment that put it over the edge in my mind. Tears flowed from the morning until Amandas dad sang her a song during his speech. Brooklyn has never seen so much love, and I suspect it will be while before it sees that type of love again.
These two are special. You two are the open hearted, raising money for the neighborhood park, livin’ life to the fullest in NYC type of special. May your life always feel as on top of the world as your first dance did under a stunning sunset. Thank you for allowing me to be there for every moment
Apparently they both started out their note to each other the exact same way. It truly speaks to the kindred spirits that these two are.
The ceremony was held at the beautiful St. Ignatius of Loyola. This Brooklyn wedding had all of the chic city vibes right down to the stunning Church ceremony. If everyone could go ahead and get married in this church that would be wonderful.
Out of all of the first dances that I have photographed over the years this one truly stands out. Amanda and John had their first dance right at sunset with the river as their backdrop on the outdoor patio at Giando on the Hudson. They sang to each other and lived in the moment, it brought a literal tear to my eye.
Because weddings by no means just fall together, especially super chic Brooklyn weddings I want to take a moment to look through the vendors who made this day possible!
