Shane and Kristin hiked 12 miles in Hawaii, 12 hard miles, it 10 hours. Sweaty and exhausted they arrived at a beach, Shane set up a GoPro to capture the sunset but instead he captured something far more beautiful, Kristin saying yes. They both love traveling and I can only imagine the beautiful places their adventures have taken them, but they are about to embark on their most rewarding adventure yet. They chose to have a beach engagement session in Ogonquit, Maine and it was perfection! My husband and I are quickly approaching 10 years of marriage, I can attest to the mountains and valleys that accompany marriage. Highest highs, and even yes, the lowest lows will all occur. Much like a difficult hike you will sometimes feel exhausted, but goodness when you look back and see the hard journey you trekked together, that view will make you sing.
I tell my couples to try and find an engagement session location that is personal, or at least “feels” like them as a couple. Kristin and Shane clearly love the beach, Shane grew up going to the beach so Ogonquit, ME was an easy choice. With cliffs that are easy to get to, and Marginal Way guiding us along the incredible Maine coast this was a STUNNING location for their engagement session. Think i’m over selling it? Just see for yourself. Soon these two will say I do as Rock Island Lake Club in Sparta New Jersey. Even though there may not be beach-y cliffs surrounding us, I have a feeling this will still be an incredibly breathtaking wedding day!
