“There’s a lot of beauty in ordinary things. Isn’t that kind of the point?” – Pam Beesly
Truth is, there was nothing ordinary about Marc and Stephanies super classy wedding at the Inn at Longshore. Nothing. Client soul mates are absolutely a thing in the wedding industry, people that are on your wave length and Stephanie and Marc were absolutely that for me, but you didnt come to this blog to hear about how meant to be their wedding photographer I was you came here for them. These two are soul mates for the long haul, without a doubt.
Stephanie and Marc are from the same hometown, they even went to the same elementary and high school but it was’nt until college that the relationship changed. I love this story, it reminds me of me and my husband always circling each other but not landing next to one another until the timing was perfect. Thus they became “Stephanie and Marc” and it will be that way until their last days. Very romantic. Their wedding day was a true celebration, friends and family from literally all over shed tears as Stephanie walked down the aisle to a teary eyed Marc. The amount of hugs , excited squeals and “its about times!” that I heard echo through that Church proved that no matter what life was going to throw at Stephanie and Marc they were absolutely meant to end up at that altar.
The Inn at Long Shore in Westport CT is a new favorite wedding venue of mine. It throws off some serious Marthas Vineyard/ New England vibe and is perfect for a classy waterfront affair. We arrived at the Inn at Longshore for portraits right at sunset, perfectly timed for the most perfect glowy portraits. Stephanie and Marc have always been so easy to photograph, at their engagement session they naturally fell into all of the poses as if they had been doing this for years and wedding day was no different. They are a photographers dream, and they are each others dream.
It is no secret that unfortunately not all marriages last forever, that fact will always break my covenant loving heart. Stephanie and Marc are going to beat the odds, I can feel it. Marriage is a full commitment. Its an I will be what I should be whether you are what you should be or not as my husband often preaches ( this is obviously within a reasonable range lol). Looks fade, families add in chaos, kids tip the scales of your sanity and your finances but the constant is you two. It is the bed rock of your confidence, and a solid place to retreat from the chaotic world. Stephanie and Marc I am so glad you found your forever, thank you for letting me be there to capture it.
