A COVE ISLAND ENGAGEMENT SESSION // STAMFORD, CT

Alright, I dont think that Brendan proposed to Rachel at Cove Island park BUT they have spent many a sweet afternoon here so it only seemed fitting that we planned their engagement session at Cove Island park. Rachel and Brendan live in Stamford Connecticut and for all of my The Office fans you better believe I was looking out for Karen and Jim, they were not there. I did get to  spend an early morning with a way better couple, Rachel and Brendan. Cove Island in Stamford, CT is a truly unique location with a little bit of everything. Beaches, blooming trees and epic rocky cliffs Cove Island is a great location for those who love variety. Rachel and Brendan told me that during the pandemic they would escape to this little slice of paradise and that makes this location all the more special.

These two are precious, they were constantly giggling at each other and they just fall effortlessly in step with one another. Even little things, how they could walk perfectly in step while I posed their arms in complicated positions for the sake of silly-ness, that backfired on my because they just fit. Next May they will say their I dos at the Grandview in Poughkeepsie, and I am SURE that while this engagement session is stunning their wedding images will be even more joy-filled.

Why I photograph weddings

The beauty of weddings lies in that till death do us part-part. You will be planning all of these little details from place cards to bathroom baskets and all of the spreadsheets and vision boards find their peak in one glorious moment. The moment when you stand face to face at that altar and offer all of you, for all of time, through all of life’s topsy turvey ways. I cry every.single.time. Hanging out with Rachel and Brendan was all the proof I needed that THAT is the part of their wedding they are most looking forward to, that binding and bringing together that leaves no dry eye. Congratulations you two, I cant wait to see you on wedding day!

 

 

Planning an engagement session as part of your wedding photography experience is a crucial step. This is because it is during this session that we really get good and acquainted, and if I am going to be hanging out with you your whole wedding day we better be good good friends. I am so grateful to every couple that trusts me with their precious memories.
